Have you seen two monitors with the same image through both? And want to know how it works?

It’s very common in the advanced user scene to use more than one monitor on one computer,

because of this the most peoples are bored of using different wallpapers on each monitor,
and also using exactly the same view of an image on both monitors…

Therefore it is an cool option to have one seamless image over both monitors.

I tried to find a solution for macs, but it’s yet not supported,
or I doesn’t found a way to do it, except an workaround with photoshop.

First, aquire an image that could mach the pixel size of both monitors, so that you have a sharp result.

Than you lookup in your mac preference-pane under displays, there you can see a different window for each monitor, where the actual resolution setting is described.
Now you have to take these numbers in photoshop, for each monitor an different document;

but I use more the lazy option and make a full-screen screenshot with “Apple-Shift-3″ this results two different images on my dektop with the exact pixel scale, that I can load both in Photoshop, put the big image in the bigger monitor document, there I place it fairly right, take the layer also in the other document(now with the same pixel size after rescale), place it also there, that I can see the missing part, and save both images as .jpg in my home directory, go back to the settings-pane –> desktop&screensaver –> desktop, there are also two different windows per each monitor, I select the previously saved items, and now the show begins, it looks like an seamless background…

But shure, it would be more cool to use an application for that,
but it isn’t that much work…;-)
